It is situated between Coventry, 6 miles (9.5 km) to the south, and Nuneaton, to the north. In the 2011 census the town had a population of 30,648. Bedworth lies northwest of London, east of Birmingham and north northeast of the county town of Warwick. Bedworth has six main suburban districts, namely Collycroft, Mount Pleasant, Bedworth Heath, Coalpit Field, Goodyers End and Exhall.

Nuneaton's population at the 2021 census was 94,634, an increase from 86,552 at the 2011 census making it the largest town in Warwickshire. Originally a small riverside settlement known as Etone, Nuneaton gained its name from a medieval nunnery which was established in the 12th century, during which it also became a small market town.
