Venthône is a former municipality in the district of Sierre in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. On 1 January 2021 the former municipalities of Miège, Venthône and Veyras merged to form the new municipality of Noble-Contrée. Venthône had an area, , of . Of this area, or 44.3% is used for agricultural purposes, while or 24.9% is forested. Of the rest of the land, or 31.2% is settled (buildings or roads). Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 16.6% and transportation infrastructure made up 12.3%. Power and water infrastructure as well as other special developed areas made up 1.6% of the area. Out of the forested land, 17.8% of the total land area is heavily forested and 7.1% is covered with orchards or small clusters of trees. Of the agricultural land, 0.4% is used for growing crops and 7.9% is pastures, while 36.0% is used for orchards or vine crops. The blazon of the municipal coat of arms is Argent, a Semi Warrior issuant armoured and helmeted Azure holding a halbard of the same. Venthône had a population (as of 2019) of 1,297. , 13.3% of the population were resident foreign nationals. Over the last 10 years (2000–2010 ), the population has changed at a rate of 18.2% due to migration and at a rate of -0.7% due to births and deaths. Most of the population () speaks French (820 or 87.7%) as their first language, German is the second most common (87 or 9.3%) and Italian is the third (8 or 0.9%). the population was 50.3% male and 49.7% female. The population was made up of 506 Swiss men (43.8% of the population) and 75 (6.5%) non-Swiss men. There were 491 Swiss women (42.5%) and 82 (7.1%) non-Swiss women. Of the population in the municipality, 344 or about 36.8% were born in Venthône and lived there in 2000. There were 324 or 34.7% who were born in the same canton, while 140 or 15.0% were born somewhere else in Switzerland, and 107 or 11.4% were born outside of Switzerland. children and teenagers (0–19 years old) make up 24% of the population, while adults (20–64 years old) make up 59.
