This lecture explores the self-assembly of conductive 3D supramolecular organic frameworks using a near-infrared fluorescent macrocyclic probe and fullerenes. Key molecular motifs such as porphyrins, tetrathiafulvalene, and fullerenes are discussed. The synthesis and novelty of these frameworks, along with their single-crystal X-ray crystallography and host-guest interactions, are presented. Conductivity studies reveal a 103-fold enhancement when binding C70, with implications for organic solar cells. The lecture concludes with the successful synthesis of a receptor with two distinct binding sites for C60 and C70, paving the way for applications in organic electronics.
