This lecture covers the properties of synchrotron radiation, including its emission by relativistic particles in dipoles and undulators, and its effect on the beam through radiation damping. It also discusses the spectrum of synchrotron radiation, brilliance, wiggler and undulator sources, coherent radiation sources, photon flux, and the development of peak brilliance.
