Design and Production of Swiss Solar Boat Cockpit

This lecture showcases the design and production process of the cockpit for the Swiss Solar Boat, a student team project at EPFL aiming to innovate green energy use in maritime sector. The team discusses the challenges faced, such as the impact of Covid-19 on production, and the optimization of essential components like the dashboard and wet seat. They detail the aerodynamic design of the cockpit, the structural analysis conducted using Abacus software, and the ergonomic considerations for the pilot's safety equipment. Through this project, the team applied theoretical knowledge to practical engineering skills, working collaboratively in a dynamic team to create an innovative and practical Bachelor's project.
