Urban Development and Mobility in Touba

This lecture explores the urban development and mobility challenges faced by the city of Touba, focusing on housing schemes, water supply, sanitation, waste management, and transportation. The study includes a detailed analysis of the current situation, constraints, and proposed short and long-term action plans. Specific objectives of the Geographic Information System (GIS) component are highlighted, along with the main results regarding urbanization, transportation modes, and the consequences of unplanned development. The lecture also covers the proposed general concept for public transportation, road network hierarchy, and access principles during the Grand Magal period.
