This lecture introduces the course structure, grading, and materials, covering topics such as controlling behavior in animals and robots. Students will engage in oral presentations, computational exercises using Webots & Python, and a mini-project for hands-on neuroscientific discovery. The course progresses through various themes including the body and behavior, taxis behaviors, neural networks, collective behavior, internal states, hierarchical control, and navigation using internal maps and planning.
