This lecture presents two exercises, C44 and C45, to illustrate the concept of standing wave ratio. In exercise C44, a network of antennas is analyzed to determine the reflection coefficient, maximum and minimum voltages, and currents. The exercise involves calculating the impedance of the antennas and plotting voltage and current amplitudes along the coaxial line. In exercise C45, a special UHF antenna used for mobile communications is studied. By calculating the reflection coefficient at different frequencies, the standing wave ratio is determined to assess impedance matching efficiency. The goal of these exercises is to demonstrate practical applications of antenna theory in evaluating system performance.
