Christian Clémençon joined EPFL in 2005, where he is managing HPC ressources as a systems engineer in the SCITAS group. His areas of interest include I/O and File Systems for massively parallel computers. He received his ETS Dipl.-Ing. degree in Automotive Technics in 1982 and his EPFL Dipl.-Ing. degree in Computer Science in 1987. He was a research scientist from 1988 to 1995 in the field of software development tools for parallel and distributed systems in EPFL, Georgia Institute of Technology and CSCS (Swiss Scientific Computing Center). Then, he was working for 9 years in the development of semiconductor simulation (TCAD) tools for a startup company in Zurich Switzerland and San Jose USA. From 2004 to 2005 he was working as a software engineer in a company providing CCTV equipments in Ecublens Switzerland.
