The Laboratory of Digital Quantum Sciences (CQSL) at EPFL, under the direction of Giuseppe Carleo, focuses on researching and developing advanced computational techniques to study quantum phenomena. Their innovative methods include machine learning techniques for Condensed Matter, Ultracold Atoms, Electronic Structure, and Quantum Devices. They are also developing novel algorithms to simulate quantum processes suitable for near-term quantum devices. Recent work includes integrating neural-network wave functions in quantum chemistry, studying the expressive power of neural network representation of quantum states, and exploring connections to tensor-network states.
