European research community on flow, turbulence and combustion

The European Research Community on Flow, Turbulence and Combustion (ERCOFTAC) is an international association established in 1988 with the vision of being a key global association in the technology of flow, turbulence, and combustion. ERCOFTAC aims to promote joint efforts between research institutes and industries, stimulate well-coordinated research on specific topics, and advance training activities in fields related to flow, turbulence, and combustion. The association also focuses on promoting industrial applications of research, establishing pilot centers for collaboration, and fostering contacts with the international community in the field. Additionally, ERCOFTAC organizes events such as the Young ERCOFTAC Spring School in Montestigliano and the bi-annual Workshop series on Direct and Large Eddy Simulation (DLES) to educate and engage young scientists in the core disciplines of fluid dynamics.
