Kröcher Group
GroupThe Group of Krocher (GR-KRO) at EPFL focuses on developing highly efficient catalytic processes for the conversion of CO2 and biomass to biofuels. Led by Prof. Oliver Krocher, the group targets the production of sustainable fuels through thermochemical and catalytic routes, aiming to optimize the use of biomass for liquid fuel production. Their research includes the synthesis of oxygen-containing biofuels from biomass and the development of catalysts for biofuel synthesis. Prof. Krocher, an adjunct professor at EPFL, has a background in catalysis for energy conversion processes and has received prestigious awards for his work in catalysis and resource conservation.
