SCCER - Future Swiss Electrical Infrastructure - Leading House EPFL

The Swiss Competence Center of Electrical Infrastructure (SCCER-FURIES) is the national center dedicated to developing innovative solutions for power grids in alignment with the Swiss Energy Strategy 2050. Through various work packages and large-scale demonstration projects, SCCER-FURIES focuses on regional and bulk multi-energy grids, power electronics, and grid components. One of its key projects, the Arbon Demo, showcases the utilization of smart meter data for enhancing grid operations. By collaborating with industrial partners and conducting multidisciplinary research, SCCER-FURIES aims to optimize energy systems, promote renewable resources integration, and support the Swiss Electricity Networks Strategy. The center's efforts have resulted in numerous outcomes, including patents, licenses, spin-offs, and prototypes, contributing significantly to the Swiss energy transition.
