KermanshahKermanshah (Kermânšâh keɾmɒːnˈʃɒː, کرماشان), is the capital of Kermanshah Province, located from Tehran in the western part of Iran. According to the 2016 census, its population is 946,651 (2021 estimate 1,047,000). At the 2006 National Census, its population was 784,602 in 202,588 households. The following census in 2011 counted 851,405 people in 242,311 households. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 946,651 people in 286,484 households.
