Samudragupta
Samudragupta (Gupta script: Sa-mu-dra-gu-pta, (c. 335–375 CE) was the second emperor of the Gupta Empire of ancient India, and is regarded among the greatest rulers of India. As a son of the Gupta emperor Chandragupta I and the Licchavi princess Kumaradevi, he greatly expanded his dynasty's political and military power. The Allahabad Pillar inscription, a prashasti (eulogy) composed by his courtier Harishena, credits him with extensive military conquests.
Noakhali District
Noakhali (নোয়াখালী), historically known as Bhulua (ভুলুয়া), is a district in southeastern Bangladesh, located in the Chittagong Division. It was established as district in 1821, and officially named Noakhali in 1868. Its headquarters lie in the town of Maijdee, therefore Noakhali is the only district of Bangladesh that is not named after its main town. The name of Noakhali District comes from the town of Noakhali (নোয়াখালী), which was the former headquarters of the old district.
Barisal Division
Barisal Division is one of the eight administrative divisions of Bangladesh. Located in the south-central part of the country, it has an area of , and a population of 9,100,102 at the 2011 Census. It is the least populous Division within the entirety of Bangladesh. It is bounded by Dhaka Division on the north, the Bay of Bengal on the south, Chittagong Division on the east and Khulna Division on the west. The administrative capital, Barisal city, lies in the Padma River delta on an offshoot of the Arial Khan River.
Barak Valley
The Barak Valley is the southernmost region and administrative division of the Indian state of Assam. It is named after the Barak river. The Barak valley consists of three administrative districts of Assam - namely Cachar, Karimganj, and Hailakandi. The main and largest city is Silchar, which seats the headquarter of Cachar district and also serves as administrative divisional office of Barak valley division. Once North Cachar Hills was a part of Cachar district which became a subdivision in 1951 and eventually a separate district.
Maukhari dynasty
The Maukhari dynasty (Gupta script: , Mau-kha-ri) was a post-Gupta dynasty who controlled the vast plains of Ganga-Yamuna for over six generations from their capital at Kannauj. They earlier served as vassals of the Guptas and later of Harsha's Vardhana dynasty. The Maukharis established their independence during the mid 6th century. The dynasty ruled over much of Uttar Pradesh and Magadha. Around 606 CE, a large area of their empire was reconquered by the Later Guptas.
Sandwip
Sandwip (Shondip) is an island located along the southeastern coast of Bangladesh in the Chattogram District. Along with the island of Urir Char,Jahajjar Char and those are the part of the Sandwip Upazila. Sandwip is located in the north-east of the Bay of Bengal, near the port city of Chittagong. It is close to the mouth of the Meghna River in the Bay of Bengal and is separated from the Chittagong coast by Sandwip Channel. It has a population of nearly 700,000. There are fifteen wards, 62 mahallas and 34 villages on Sandwip Island.
Sonargaon
Sonargaon (সোনারগাঁও; pronounced as Show-naar-gaa; lit. Golden Hamlet) is a historic city in central Bangladesh. It corresponds to the Sonargaon Upazila of Narayanganj District in Dhaka Division. Sonargaon is one of the old capitals of the historic region of Bengal and was an administrative center of eastern Bengal. It was also a river port. It's hinterland was the center of the muslin trade in Bengal, with a large population of weavers and artisans.
Khulna
Khulna (খুলনা, ˈkhulna) is the third-largest city in Bangladesh, after Dhaka and Chittagong. It is the administrative centre of Khulna District and Khulna Division. Khulna's economy is the third-largest in Bangladesh, contributing 95 billion in purchasing power parity (PPP) in 2020. In the 2022 census, the city had a population of 718,735. Khulna is on the Rupsha and Bhairab Rivers. A center of Bangladeshi industry, the city hosts many national companies.
