County of LoonThe County of Loon (Graafschap Loon ˈɣraːfsxɑp ˈloːn, Graafsjap Loeën ˈʝʀaːfʃɑp ˈluən, Comté de Looz) was a county in the Holy Roman Empire, which corresponded approximately with the Belgian province of Limburg. It was named after the original seat of its count, Loon, which is today called Borgloon. During the middle ages the counts moved their court to a more central position in Kuringen, which is today a part of Hasselt, the modern capital of the region.

From the 11th century onwards, Cleves was capital of a county and later a duchy. Today, Cleves is the capital of the district of Kleve in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The city is home to one of the campuses of the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
ZeelandicZeelandic (Zeêuws; Zeeuws; Zêeuws) is a group of Friso-Franconian language varieties spoken in the southwestern parts of the Netherlands.
