BrygesBryges or Briges (Βρύγοι or Βρίγες) is the historical name given to a people of the ancient Balkans. They are generally considered to have been related to the Phrygians, who during classical antiquity lived in western Anatolia. Both names, Bryges and Phrygians, are assumed to be variants of the same root. Based on archaeological evidence, some scholars such as Nicholas Hammond and Eugene N. Borza argue that the Bryges/Phrygians were members of the Lusatian culture that migrated into the southern Balkans during the Late Bronze Age.
ElbasanElbasan (ˌɛlbəˈsɑːn ˈɛlbaˈsan; Elbasani ˈɛlbaˈsani) is the fourth most populous city of Albania and seat of Elbasan County and Elbasan Municipality. It lies to the north of the river Shkumbin between the Skanderbeg Mountains and the Myzeqe Plain in central Albania. The Albanian name is derived from the Ottoman Turkish il-basan ("the fortress"). Elbasan is also the Aromanian name of the city. According to Saliaj the name in antiquity Scampa is derived from the word Shkamba ("The Rock or Cliff") in Albanian.
Tirana CountyTirana County (Qarku Tiranë), officially the County of Tirana (Qarku i Tiranës), is a county in the Central Region of the Republic of Albania. It is the tenth largest by area and the most populous of the twelve counties, with more than 912,000 people within an area of . The county borders on the Adriatic Sea to the west, the counties of Durrës to the northwest, Dibër to the northeast, Elbasan to the east and Fier to the southwest. It is divided into five municipalities, Tirana, Kamëz, Kavajë, Rrogozhinë and Vorë, with all of whom incorporate twenty-nine administrative units.
