Pentagrammic crossed-antiprismIn geometry, the pentagrammic crossed-antiprism is one in an infinite set of nonconvex antiprisms formed by triangle sides and two regular star polygon caps, in this case two pentagrams. It differs from the pentagrammic antiprism by having opposite orientations on the two pentagrams. This polyhedron is identified with the indexed name U80 as a uniform polyhedron. The pentagrammic crossed-antiprism may be inscribed within an icosahedron, and has ten triangular faces in common with the great icosahedron.
Polygram (geometry)In geometry, a generalized polygon can be called a polygram, and named specifically by its number of sides. All polygons are polygrams, but can also include disconnected sets of edges, called a compound polygon. For example, a regular pentagram, {5/2}, has 5 sides, and the regular hexagram, {6/2} or 2{3}, has 6 sides divided into two triangles. A regular polygram {p/q} can either be in a set of regular star polygons (for gcd(p,q) = 1, q > 1) or in a set of regular polygon compounds (if gcd(p,q) > 1).
MonogonIn geometry, a monogon, also known as a henagon, is a polygon with one edge and one vertex. It has Schläfli symbol {1}. In Euclidean geometry a monogon is a degenerate polygon because its endpoints must coincide, unlike any Euclidean line segment. Most definitions of a polygon in Euclidean geometry do not admit the monogon. In spherical geometry, a monogon can be constructed as a vertex on a great circle (equator). This forms a dihedron, {1,2}, with two hemispherical monogonal faces which share one 360° edge and one vertex.
