AmaravatiAmaravati (əm@'rɑːv@ti) is the capital of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the banks of the river Krishna in Guntur district. Dharanikota, the ancient city site nearby, was founded more than 2,200 years ago, serving as an ancient capital. The Amaravati Stupa was an important Buddhist site of pilgrimage and holy learning. Under the British Raj, many ancient Buddhist sculptures were taken to other museums in India and Britain.
Bapatla districtBapatla district is a district in coastal Andhra in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh established on 4 April 2022. The administrative headquarter is Bapatla. The district is formed from parts of erstwhile Prakasam district and Guntur districts. It has an Air Force Station and several universities. Named after Bhavanarayana Swamy temple, it was originally called Bhavapuri with transformation to Bhavapatla, Bapatla in due course. In 1977, proposal to form Bapatla district was made by Kolla Venkaiah, famous communist leader.

It is located in the north western part of the state and is bounded by Nandyal district in the east, Anantapur district in the south, Raichur district of Karnataka in the northwest, Bellary district of Karnataka in the west, and Jogulamba Gadwal district of Telangana in the north.
