Spanish ArmadaThe Spanish Armada (a.k.a. the Invincible Armada or the Enterprise of England, Grande y Felicísima Armada) was a Spanish fleet that sailed from Lisbon in late May 1588, commanded by the Duke of Medina Sidonia, an aristocrat without previous naval experience appointed by Philip II of Spain. His orders were to sail up the English Channel, join with the Duke of Parma in Flanders, and escort an invasion force that would land in England and overthrow Elizabeth I.

Newton AbbotNewton Abbot is a market town and civil parish on the River Teign in the Teignbridge District of Devon, England. Its 2011 population of 24,029 was estimated to reach 26,655 in 2019. It grew rapidly in the Victorian era as the home of the South Devon Railway locomotive works. This later became a major steam engine shed, retained to service British Railways diesel locomotives until 1981. It now houses the Brunel industrial estate. The town has a race course nearby, the most westerly in England, and a country park, Decoy.
DawlishDawlish ˈdɔːlɪʃ is an English seaside resort town and civil parish in Teignbridge on the south coast of Devon; it is located from the county town of Exeter and from the larger resort of Torquay. Its 2011 population of 11,312 was estimated to have risen to 13,355 by 2019. It is to grow further as several housing estates are under construction, mainly in the north and east of the town. It had grown in the 18th century from a small fishing port into a well-known seaside resort, as had its near neighbour, Teignmouth, in the 19th century.
CreditonCrediton ˈkrɛdᵻtən is a town and civil parish in the Mid Devon district of Devon in England. It stands on the A377 Exeter to Barnstaple road at the junction with the A3072 road to Tiverton, about north west of Exeter and around from the M5 motorway. It has a population of 8,304. However, the combined population of the parishes that make up the Crediton area is estimated to be 21,990. The town is situated in the narrow vale of the River Creedy, between two steep hills and is divided into two parts, the north or old town (People's park, Queen Elizabeth's Community College etc.
Mummers' playMummers' plays are folk plays performed by troupes of amateur actors, traditionally all male, known as mummers or guisers (also by local names such as rhymers, pace-eggers, soulers, tipteerers, wrenboys, and galoshins). YeoviltonYeovilton ˈjoʊvᵻltən is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Yeovilton and District, in Somerset, England, east of Ilchester and north of Yeovil, in South Somerset district. The parish had a population of 1,226 in the 2011 census, estimated at 1,418 in 2019. This includes Podimore (also known as Puddimore or Milton Podimore) and the hamlets of Speckington and Bridgehampton. The village includes RNAS Yeovilton (HMS Heron) and the associated Fleet Air Arm Museum.
