Araria district
Araria district is one of the thirty-eight districts of Bihar state, India. Araria district is a part of Purnia division. The district occupies an area of . Araria town is the administrative headquarters of this district. Distance from Nepal border is only about 8 km from Forbesganj head quarter. During the British Raj, the area was under the administration of a British district collector and municipal commissioner, Alexander John Forbes (1807-1890) of East India Company. Forbes had a bungalow at the same location.

Saharsa district is a part of the Kosi Division and it became a district on 1 April 1954 and has subsequently become smaller with other districts being carved from it, most notably Madhepura in 1981. Saharsa is located in the Mithila region, one of the earliest centers of Brahminical civilization in India. Saharsa is considered as the heart of whole Mithila region.

The district is a part of the Tirhut Division and is located along the border of Nepal. This place is considered as birthplace of Sita, the main character of the epic Ramayana and a temple dedicated to Sita lies near Sitamarhi town. A Rock cut sanctuary of Mauryan period is found near Sitamarhi. In 1875, a Sitamarhi subdistrict was created within the Muzaffarpur district.

Muzaffarpur District is one of the thirty-eight districts of Bihar state, India. Muzaffarpur district is part of and also the headquarters of Tirhut Division Tirhut is the ancient name of all of northern Bihar. Muzaffarpur was a part of the ancient Vajjika League, one of the principal mahājanapadas of Ancient India. Muzaffarpur fostered political leaders and statesmen alike among whom were Maghfoor Ahmad Ajazi, George Fernandes, Janki Ballabh Shastri, a great Hindi writer, Parmanandan Shashtri and Devesh Chandra Thakur.
Purnia division
Purnia division is an administrative geographical unit of Bihar state of India. Purnia is the administrative headquarters of the division. The division consists of Purnia district, Katihar district, Araria district, and Kishanganj district. It was established in 1990. It is also known as Seemanchal. It is a part of the Kosi—Seemanchal subregion of the cultural Mithila region. Purnia division, all of which was previously part of Purnia district, is part of the Mithila region.
Sahitya Akademi
The Sahitya Akademi, India's National Academy of Letters, is an organisation dedicated to the promotion of literature in the languages of India. Founded on 12 March 1954, it is supported by, though independent of, the Indian government. Its office is located in Rabindra Bhavan near Mandi House in Delhi. The Sahitya Akademi organises national and regional workshops and seminars; provides research and travel grants to authors; publishes books and journals, including the Encyclopaedia of Indian Literature; and presents the annual Sahitya Akademi Award of INR.
Madhubani district
Madhubani district is one of the thirty-eight districts of Bihar, India, and is a part of Darbhanga division. Its administrative headquarters are located in Madhubani. The district has an area of and has a population of 4,487,379 (as of 2011). Madhubani is the largest fish producing district of Bihar in 2022. Madhubani became a district in 1972 when it was split from Darbhanga district. It is believed that Baliraajgadh, an archaeological site which lies in modern-day Madhubani district was the capital of the ancient Mithila Kingdom.

Its literacy rate of 73.3% is higher than the state literacy rate of 63.8% and lower than national rate of 74.04. The present collector and District Magistrate of Munger is Navin Kumar, IAS. MP is Rajeev Rajan Singh Urf Lalan Singh Munger has seen five districts partitioned off from its territory: Begusarai in 1972; Khagaria in 1988; and Jamui in 1991; and Lakhisarai district and Sheikhpura in 1994.
Kishanganj district
Kishanganj district is one of the thirty-eight districts of Bihar state, India, and Kishanganj town is the administrative headquarters of this district. Kishanganj district is a part of Purnia division (Seemanchal). Kishanganj district, which was previously part of Purnia district, is part of the Mithila region. Mithila first gained prominence after being settled by Indo-Aryan peoples who established the Mithila Kingdom (also called Kingdom of the Videhas) which was ruled by the Videhas, an Indo-Aryan tribe.
Oiniwar dynasty
The Oiniwar dynasty, or Aainwar dynasty also known as the Sugauna dynasty, was a Maithil ruling dynasty of territories that form part of the Mithila region of the Indian subcontinent. They governed the area between 1325 and 1526, being preceded by the Karnat dynasty. Following the demise of the dynasty, emerged the dynasty of the Raj Darbhanga. The rulers of the Oiniwar dynasty governed their lands between 1325 and 1526 however their rule from 1526 till 1526 have been not very well documented/fruitfuil.
