Tenth grade
Tenth grade (also 10th Grade or Grade 10) is the tenth year of formal or compulsory education. It is typically the first year of high school. In many parts of the world, students in tenth grade are usually 15 or 16 years of age. For most Australian states, Year 10 is the fourth year of a student's high school education. However, in the Northern Territory, it is the first year of senior school, which occurs after high school. While in contrast, in most South Australian public schools, it is the third year of high school.

Technical and further education or simply TAFE (ˈteɪf) is the common name in English-speaking countries in Oceania for vocational education, as a subset of tertiary education. TAFE institutions provide a wide range of predominantly vocational courses. Individual TAFE institutions (usually with numerous campuses) are known as either colleges or institutes, depending on the country, state or territory. In Australia, where the term TAFE originated, institutions usually host qualifying courses, under the National Training System/Australian Qualifications Framework/Australian Quality Training Framework.
