Aberystwyth
Aberystwyth (abɛˈrəstʊɨθ) is a university and seaside town and a community in Ceredigion, Wales. It is the largest town in Ceredigion and from Aberaeron, the county's administrative centre. In 2011, the population of the town was 15,935. Located in the historic county of Cardiganshire, Aberystwyth means "the mouth of the Ystwyth". It has been a major educational location in Wales since the establishment of University College Wales, now Aberystwyth University, in 1872.

Ceredigion (UKˌkɛrəˈdɪɡiən , US-iɒn , kɛrɛˈdɪɡjɔn), historically Cardiganshire, is a county in the west of Wales. It borders Gwynedd across the Dyfi estuary to the north, Powys to the east, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire to the south, and the Irish Sea to the west. Aberystwyth is the largest settlement and, together with Aberaeron, is an administrative centre of Ceredigion County Council. The county is the second most sparsely populated in Wales, with an area of and a population of 71,500; the latter is a decline of 4,492 since the 2011 census.
Llŷn Peninsula
The Llŷn Peninsula (Penrhyn Llŷn or Pen Llŷn, ɬɨːn) extends into the Irish Sea from North West Wales, south west of the Isle of Anglesey. It is part of the historic county of Caernarfonshire, and historic region and local authority area of Gwynedd. Much of the eastern part of the peninsula, around Criccieth, may be regarded as part of Eifionydd rather than Llŷn, although the boundary is somewhat vague. The area of Llŷn is about , and its population is at least 20,000.
Snowdonia
Snowdonia or Eryri (ɛrəri) is a mountainous region and national park in northwestern Wales. Snowdonia contains every mountain in Wales over 3000 feet high, including the country's highest mountain, Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa, ). These peaks are all part of the Snowdon, Glyderau, and Carneddau ranges in the north of the region. South of them are the Moelwynion and Moel Hebog ranges. The national park covers most of Gwynedd and the western part of Conwy County Borough, with an area of .

Gwynedd (ˈɡwɪnɪð; ˈɡʊɨ̯nɛð) is a county in the north-west of Wales. It borders Anglesey across the Menai Strait to the north, Conwy, Denbighshire, and Powys to the east, Ceredigion over the Dyfi estuary to the south, and the Irish Sea to the west. The city of Bangor is the largest settlement, and the administrative centre is Caernarfon. The preserved county of Gwynedd, which is used for ceremonial purposes, includes the Isle of Anglesey. Gwynedd is the second largest county in Wales but sparsely populated, with an area of and a population of 117,400.
