Givisiez (ʒivizje; Gevesiér dzəvəˈʒi) is a municipality in the district of Sarine in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. It was formerly known in German as Siebenzach, but this usage is no longer common. Givisiez is first mentioned in 1142 as Juvinsie. Until the beginning of the 19th century it was known as Juvisy.
