Sučany (Szucsány, (til 1895) Szucsán, Suczany) is a village and municipality in Martin District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia. It is located around 5 km northeast of Martin, in the Váh river valley.
In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1258.
The municipality lies at an altitude of 393 metres and covers an area of 33.264 km2. It has a population of about 4,644 people.
