This lecture covers the analysis of RL circuits, including the growth of current when an emf is switched on, the solution of differential equations for current, time-dependence of emf in inductance, current decay in an RL circuit, and energy stored in the magnetic field of an inductance. It also discusses the comparison of energy densities, field enhancement by a ferromagnetic core, and solenoids with ferromagnetic cores.
