This lecture presents a mechanical engineering project where the instructor and their colleagues designed a protective device for an egg dropped from a building's top floor. Inspired by nature, they studied the rotation and braking of maple seeds to optimize their prototype, facing challenges in theory-practice adaptation, 3D printing, physics modeling, and flight analysis.
