This lecture introduces the hemodynamics and cardiovascular mechanics, covering topics such as blood rheology, arterial wall hemodynamics, cardiovascular diseases, pressure and flow wave propagation, and the rheological properties of blood. It also explores the functions, properties, and composition of blood, as well as the deformability of red blood cells and the Fahraeus-Lindqvist Effect.
