This lecture covers the deployment of PMUs in the EPFL campus for monitoring the state of the Active Distribution Network with high refresh rate and low latency, including fault detection and identification. It also discusses state estimation algorithms, data concentration, and protection methods for the network, as well as the architecture of the ADN Communication Network and security measures against false data injection and delay attacks. Additionally, it explores the interface between Smart Buildings and the SmartGrid, focusing on demand side management, forecasting, and the use of IoT electronics for power measurement and control.
