Design and Optimization of Integration Procedures in the SP80 Boat

This lecture presents a Bachelor project at EPFL focused on designing and optimizing integration procedures for the SP80 boat, aiming to break the world speed record. The project involves a 5-year plan, with the current goal of launching the boat within 45 days. The students discuss bridging 3D design with real-world implementation, emphasizing the practical application of theoretical concepts. Collaboration with experienced professionals has been integral to the project, involving tasks such as coordinating production teams, ensuring geometric accuracy, and facilitating seamless integration processes. Additionally, the lecture highlights the production procedures for various boat components, some of which are manufactured locally and others by project partners, emphasizing the meticulous attention to detail and precision required for successful integration.
