This lecture introduces the fundamentals of vibrational mechanics, covering topics such as the study of elementary oscillators, analysis of two-degree-of-freedom oscillators, and the concept of normal modes and eigenvalues. The course aims to sensitize students to vibrational problems encountered by mechanical engineers, model and analyze linear discrete systems, study their behavior in free and forced regimes, and extend the analysis to generalized oscillators with multiple degrees of freedom. Connections with other courses like Structural Mechanics and General Physics are highlighted, preparing students for advanced topics in mechanical dynamics and modal analysis.
