This lecture covers the structure of steroid hormones, their formation and secretion by various organs, the synthesis pathway from cholesterol to different steroid hormones, the role of cholesterol in cell membranes, and the biosynthesis of cholesterol. It also discusses the origin of carbon atoms in cholesterol and the metabolic pathway from glucose to cholesterol.
