This lecture introduces Selectus, a tool supporting academic selection processes like faculty recruiting and promotion. Developed by frentix GmbH in collaboration with ETH Zurich, Selectus has been used at EPFL since 2017. The system offers role-specific functionalities for staff, committee members, and faculty, facilitating the entire selection process. It includes features like committee administration, user management, and position-specific roles. Selectus operates through different installations at EPFL, each dedicated to faculty processes, academic programs, or other scientific processes. The lecture also covers the roles within Selectus, such as staff, committee members, and system administrators, each with specific responsibilities in the selection process.
