This lecture covers the mechanical properties of titanium alloys, including (near-)a and a+ß-Ti alloys, metastable ß-Ti alloys, and Ti-6Al-4V. It discusses the influence of textures, grain size, and microstructural parameters on properties like yield strength, tensile strength, and ductility. The lecture also explores the fatigue behavior of Ti-6Al-4V under different microstructures and environmental conditions, as well as the high-temperature performance of Ti alloys. Additionally, it provides insights into the basic facts, production processes, and applications of the light metals aluminum and magnesium.
