This lecture covers the definition and properties of continuous functions on open intervals, as well as elementary functions constructed from algebraic, exponential, logarithmic, sinusoidal, and cosine functions. It also discusses the concept of continuity at a point and the composition of continuous functions on intervals. Examples are provided to illustrate the concepts presented.
