Sustainable Building Solutions: rebuiLT

This lecture presents the rebuiLT project, an interdisciplinary student initiative at EPFL aiming to create sustainable urban environments through eco-constructions, reuse of building components, and integration of low-tech solutions. The project involves identifying reusable building components, assembling them into a multifunctional community pavilion made of reclaimed concrete, and incorporating appropriate low-tech technologies. Led by international students from architecture and engineering backgrounds, the project focuses on rethinking traditional building practices to promote a more sustainable and desirable future. With a strong emphasis on community engagement and participatory design, rebuiLT seeks to revolutionize the construction industry by demonstrating the feasibility and benefits of sustainable building practices.
