This lecture introduces students to the history of architecture, focusing on environmental concerns and the evolution of project disciplines. Topics include the impact of the environment on architecture, the rethinking of principles, and the conception of territories and cities. The course covers key concepts such as the picturesque twentieth century, the new brutalism, and the relationship between man and his environment. Discussions also touch on the history of human environments, ecological thought, and the study of landscapes. Through the exploration of past and present environmental challenges, students gain insights into the complex interactions between societies, nature, and the built environment.
