This lecture introduces the development of a Digital Research Infrastructure (DRI) for the EPFL Fribourg and Lausanne campuses, focusing on sustainability and co-creation projects. It includes the integration of renewable energies, building data visualization, and outdoor comfort simulations. The DRI combines data from various sources like swisstopo, BIM models, and 3D models developed through photogrammetry. The lecture showcases ongoing projects and the potential for collaboration within the Smart Living Lab community. The DRI will serve as a foundation for research tasks and projects, such as the SWEET SWICE research project, emphasizing sustainable well-being in the energy transition.
