This lecture covers the principles and applications of systems biology, focusing on metabolic modeling using Thermodynamics-based Flux Balance Analysis (TFA) and kinetic models. Topics include simulating growth conditions, investigating nutrient uptake trade-offs, phenotypic analysis, and integrating metabolomics data. Students will learn to use MATLAB for modeling flux distributions, presentations, and project evaluations.
