It explains how to obtain bandpass filters from a low-pass prototype filter, the transformation of passband and stopband limits, and the circuit transformation for LP-to-BP. The lecture also discusses analytical approximations like Butterworth, Chebyshev, Bessel, and Cauer, LP transfer functions, poles location, and design procedures. Examples illustrate the Butterworth transfer function, order determination, and frequency response. The Chebyshev approximation with ripple in the passband and monotonic decrease in the stopband is also explained.
