This lecture covers the fundamentals of quantum optomechanics, including the nonlinear interaction of light in micro-resonators, radiation pressure, optomechanical systems in gravitational wave detectors, and coupling methods. It also explores challenges for quantum control of mechanics, optomechanical sensors, and quantum state manipulation in resolved sideband systems.
