This lecture provides an overview of the format and content of the course 'Economy of China 2020-2021'. It aims to analyze China's role in the global economy, its strengths and weaknesses, and its impact on the world. The course covers topics such as technology, environment, intellectual property, and industrial policy. The instructor plans to conduct the initial sessions in a blended format, with one-third in-person and two-thirds online, and will assess the dynamics after the first three weeks. Students are encouraged to refer to the course's Moodle page for evaluation details and session information. The instructor wishes everyone a successful semester start and looks forward to seeing them every Tuesday from 13:15 to 15:00.
