Giuseppe Galbiati has a Master’s degree in Architecture and Building Engineering from Politecnico di Milano (2020). He is currently PhD candidate at EPFL (Laboratory of Techniques and Preservation of Modern Architecture – prof. Franz Graf) in co-direction with the UCLouvain (LOCI Faculty – prof. Giulia Marino). He has been external collaborator at Mobil’homme Lausanne between 2018 and 2019 and teaching assistant at Politecnico di Milano. Since 2019 he writes for Artribune journal in the section of architecture. His scientific interests are focused on preservation and thermal retrofitting of the modern and contemporary heritage and on the history of construction techniques of XX-century’s buildings. He started developing these themes in his Master’s thesis project and continuing exploring them in his PhD studies, through international publications and research by design.
