Przemyslaw Zielinski is a mathematician working in the field of numerical analysis and multiscale modeling. He earned his PhD in 2014, from the Institute of Mathematics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, for the research on the solvability of non-linear equations in Hilbert spaces. Since the fall of 2014, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher in the Numerical Analysis Section at KU Leuven, Belgium. During this time, he designed and investigated numerical techniques, based on the ideas from data assimilation and information theory, for efficient and accurate simulation of complex systems in the presence of noise. As of October 2019, he started postdoctoral research on multiscale simulation of kinetic plasma models in the Chair of Computational Mathematics and Simulation Science at EPFL.
