David Rodríguez is a Systems Engineer at EPFL Space Center where he is currently responsible for the implementation of the Lunar Research & Technology Development Initiative and the coordination of students interdisciplinary projects. He is involved in multiple projects across a wide span of topics ranging from lunar technology development to active deorbiting of defunct satellites. David holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Carlos III University of Madrid, a master's degree in Space Studies from the International Space University, and a PhD in Planetary Robotics from Tohoku University. He has been involved in the development and prototyping of a new generation of agile, fast-moving lunar rovers and, in the past, held several positions at the European Space Agency (ESA) and the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
