Electric vehicles are mainly fed directly from batteries, where the high power solicitation represents a well-known problem with its relation to efficiency and life cycle of batteries. The paper presents experimentation and study of a solution with power assistance with supercapacitors where the design is based on recognized specific power requirements recorded on given tracks in the city of Lausanne.
