Conservatoire de ParisThe Conservatoire de Paris (kɔ̃sɛʁvatwaʁ də paʁi), also known as the Paris Conservatory, is a college of music and dance founded in 1795. Officially known as the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), it is situated in the avenue Jean Jaurès in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, France. The Conservatoire offers instruction in music and dance, drawing on the traditions of the 'French School'.
Nicolas CoeffeteauNicolas Coeffeteau (1574 – 21 April 1623) was a French theologian, poet and historian born at Saint-Calais. He entered the Dominican order and lectured on philosophy at Paris, being also ordinary preacher to Henry IV, and afterwards ambassador at Rome. In 1606 he was vicar-general of the congregation of France, and received from Marie de' Medici the revenues of the sees of Lombez and Saintes. He also administered the diocese of Metz, and was nominated to the diocese of Marseille in 1621, but ill health obliged him here to take a coadjutor.
European Association of Periurban ParksThe European Association of Periurban Parks (FEDENATUR) is an association of natural, fluvial and agricultural parks located in metropolitan and periurban areas in Europe. It is headquartered in the Serra de Collserola Natural Park in Barcelona. FEDENATUR was created in 1997 after the 2nd Symposium on natural areas in periurban and metropolitan zones in Barcelona in 1995. It was inspired by the Rio Earth Summit of 1992. Conference participants decided to create a network of exchanges between periurban park managers on a European scale.
Louise BédardLouise Bédard (born 1955) is a Canadian dancer, choreographer and teacher who is active on the contemporary dance. After completing her dance training, notably with Groupe Nouvelle Aire, Louise Bédard was quickly noticed as a talented performer. During the 1980s, she collaborated with many choreographers, among them Jean-Pierre Perreault, Paul-André Fortier, Ginette Laurin, Jeanne Renaud, Sylvain Émard. Already in 1984, Bédard was awarded the Canada Council’s Jacqueline-Lemieux Award, for her outstanding work.
Henri CartanHenri Paul Cartan (kaʁtɑ̃; 8 July 1904 – 13 August 2008) was a French mathematician who made substantial contributions to algebraic topology. He was the son of the mathematician Élie Cartan, nephew of mathematician Anna Cartan, oldest brother of composer fr, physicist fr and mathematician fr, and the son-in-law of physicist Pierre Weiss. According to his own words, Henri Cartan was interested in mathematics at a very young age, without being influenced by his family.

Founded in 1990 in Paris by Jacques Lewiner and Eric Carreel, the company was acquired by Thomson SA in 2005. Inventel was founded in 1990 by two researchers from ESPCI ParisTech, Jacques Lewiner and Eric Carreel, who later co-founded Withings. The company was successful at commercializing scientific research, and providing full product development (software, electronics, and mechanical) in-house.
Lalan (artist)Lalan, born Xie Jing-lan (Chinese: 謝景蘭; 1921–1995), was a Chinese-French multidisciplinary artist. Lalan was among the early practitioners of integrated arts, incorporating painting, music, dance, and poetry into her performances. Lalan was born in Guizhou, China. She received professional vocal training at the Shanghai Music Academy, and then studied composition and modern dance after relocating to Paris in 1948 with her then husband, painter Zao Wou-ki. Lalan did not start painting until the age of 37.
De dicto and de reDe dicto and de re are two phrases used to mark a distinction in intensional statements, associated with the intensional operators in many such statements. The distinction is used regularly in metaphysics and in philosophy of language. The literal translation of the phrase de dicto is "about what is said", whereas de re translates as "about the thing". The original meaning of the Latin locutions may help to elucidate the living meaning of the phrases, in the distinctions they mark.
