Prilly

Prilly (pʁiji) is a municipality in Switzerland in the canton of Vaud, located in the district of Ouest Lausannois. It is one of the western suburbs of the city of Lausanne. Prilly is first mentioned around 976-77 as in uilla que uocatur presliacus. By 1185 it was known as Prillie. Prilly has an area, , of (depending on calculation method). Of this area, or 11.0% is used for agricultural purposes, while or 6.4% is forested. Of the rest of the land, or 82.2% is settled (buildings or roads).

Lausanne

Lausanne (loʊˈzæn , USalsoloʊˈzɑːn , lɔzan; Losena lɔˈzəna) is the capital and largest city of the Swiss French-speaking canton of Vaud. It is a hilly city situated on the shores of Lake Geneva, about halfway between the Jura Mountains and the Alps, and facing the French town of Évian-les-Bains across the lake. Crissier (kʁisje) is a municipality in the district of Ouest Lausannois in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. It is a suburb of Lausanne. Crissier is first mentioned in 1199 as Crissiaco. In 1228 it was mentioned as Crissie. Crissier has an area, , of . Of this area, or 25.2% is used for agricultural purposes, while or 26.5% is forested.
