Abstract

The resistance as well as strain hardening and softening properties of UHPFRC depend on the type of matrix and mainly on the fibre dosage and final distribution and orientation in the element. The strength and deformability distribution in a thin UHPFRC panel was studied. Tensile and flexural specimens cut in different directions and at different positions in the panel were analysed in order to determine locally the mechanical material properties. The real fibre dosage, distribution and orientation were determined. The results showed a wide scatter of the mechanical properties, whereas the physical properties, especially the air permeability, were not affected by the mechanical scatter.
