New schemes are introduced that allow one to improve the resolution in the indirect dimension of single-scan 'ultrafast' two-dimensional NMR spectra. The methods combine undersampling with band-selective pulses to recover signals that lie outside the detection bandwidth. The efficiency is illustrated for homonuclear total correlation spectroscopy (TOCSY) of quinidine. (C) 2008 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
